Staff nice, thats about all !!

We thought the room was very basic. No heat in bathroom. Rooms needed to be refurbished, very drab. Bar almost empty on saturday night. Breakfast, basic, very little choice apart from cooked breakfast. We were dissapointed with this hotel, we thought that it was very expensive and we did not get value for money. We will no be returning to this hotel.

The staff were among the friendliest I have ever experienced. The room was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and served by such friendly staff. Location suited us to perfection it was quiet -away from any night life noise.

Absolutely loved the bar food - really high quality and very good value. Very very impressed and compliments to the chef. Also hotel has good location near dingle and ballyferriter .

Rooms were very low standard - looked like they haven't been done up in years. Reception didn't offer any information about hotel and location on check in . No information books in hotel room . Cot provided was hilarious it had metal edges that our baby of course was licking and could not possibly be safe. It was so rickety my four year old thought it was fun to swing the baby in it. The skirting boards were filthy also and our baby kept going to crawl over to these Aswell . Bathroom outdated. Waitress in bar had not a clue . Staff were nice but service poor. We stayed here for one night as skellig was full and went to skellig for two nights after- light years ahead. Pity as smerwick has great potential and food so good,

    Good

Good rate. Good size room. Comfortable.

When we went into our room the first thing I saw was a number of stains on the carpet. In fairness the room/bathroom was clean but a few minutes with a carpet shampooer would have resulted in a different first impression. Beds were comfortable and room was good size wise.

The staff were lovely, hotel nice and quiet.

Location was not good, we didn't realise we would be so isolated. Extremely hard to get taxis. Also, wine in hotel was very expensive.

    Very good

Spacious room, but needs an update. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good.

The walls are paper thin and we heard the couple's conversation staying in the room next to us including them watching TV. You could also hear the guests walking down the halls in our room.

The staff was helpful re making my travel plans. Good breakfast. Was fun to get out of Dingle for the night but some people might prefer to stay closer in. Had great live music in the bar area. I would recommend this hotel. While the review says I'm from Killarney, I'm actually from New York.

It was nice to hear some staff talking Irish.

I was very disappointed with breakfast. I asked for extra toast for my children & it did not come. It was very disappointing to see non nationals working as waiters. On my return I met cleaning staff on the corridors & they were speaking the native language "Irish". It was nice to hear. Overall, I thought it was poor value for money!!

    Hotel was relatively clean.

The hotel is very old and in serious need of renovation. The curtains in the room do not meet in the middle so could not close them properly. The room was freezing from 8am. There was a member of staff shouting in the hall outside our room at 9am. It is quiet far out of Dingle, around 15- 20min drive. Far too expensive for what you are getting. €130 for one night. These complaints were all made at check out, no compensation of any kind was offered.
